Do you need a magnet for a Cat Eye effect?

Yes. A magnet moves the particles and shapes the reflections before the colour is cured. Follow the instructions for the polish and lamp used. A pearlescent or glitter polish is not necessarily magnetic.

How should you choose a Cat Eye colour?

Compare both the background colour and reflections: JG07 is mauve pink, 9D03 violet and Gold Glam gold, while 9D01 and 9D05 combine several reflections. The appearance varies with the light and magnet position.
